Ladies Auxiliary

Ladies Auxiliary - Begining
Mr. T. E. Athey was Chief in 1965, when the Ladies Auxiliary was established for the purpose of assisting the fire company with non-operational duties. They worked the concession stand at the ball field, cooked food for dances and Bingo, and operated a canteen to bring refreshments to incidents. The Auxiliary also held fund raising events on their own such as Little Miss Beauty Pageants and Bake and Rummage Sales. The money made by their efforts was donated to the Company for operational equipment.  Much of what the fire company did, would not have been possible without their support.
